Samaritan Welcomes Cardiologist Tyler Earley, DO August 12, 2022 Tyler Earley, DO, has joined the Cardiology Department at Samaritan Heart Center. Dr. Earley specializes in cardiovascular disease. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and a medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest. He completed residency training at University of New Mexico School of Medicine and a fellowship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, a three-year, post-graduate accredited program that prepares physicians to be outstanding clinical adult cardiologists. Dr. Earley became a cardiologist because he wanted to help people. He enjoys educating patients on how to slow the progression of heart disease through preventive measures, including exercise, nutrition and pharmaceutical interventions. “I am humbled by the opportunity to guide and empower each patient along their health journey,” he said. Dr. Earley is trained in cardiac CT, which is used to evaluate the risk of cardiovascular disease. As a medical student in Lebanon, he did clinical rotations with Samaritan’s cardiology group, which influenced his choice of specialty and his desire to return to the area. “Cardiology is the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and evidence-based medicine,” he said. “My wife is from Southern Oregon, and I fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.” In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking and spending time with family.
