Erik Hansson, ATC, ACE-CPT

Erik first became interested in fitness while attending college at San Francisco State, when he found himself overweight, out of shape and unsure of where to start. The idea of going to work out at a gym was daunting and he found every reason to put it off for “just another week.”

It was during this time that he found a group of people who shared an inspiring passion for health and fitness. Their shared passion inspired him to change his life by changing his bad habits, getting in shape, and living a healthy lifestyle. After graduating from San Francisco State, he moved to Oregon to pursue his newfound passion by working as a personal trainer and studying sports medicine at Oregon State University. During his time at Oregon State and personal training, he had the opportunity to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds that ranged from Division One athletes to cancer survivors. Four years later, he graduated with a degree in Athletic Training and joined SamFit with an eagerness to help others find their passion and achieve their goals of health and wellness. 

In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog, spending time with his girlfriend, fishing, hunting, running, lifting and playing sports.
