Dr. Bruns specializes in geriatrics, palliative care and end-of-life care. She sees patients living in care facilities.

Dr. Bruns took a non-traditional path to becoming a doctor, raising her family before going to medical school. When her grandmother suffered a stroke and had to live in a nursing home, it motivated her to become a geriatrician.

She takes time getting to know her patients to be sure their care aligns withtheir goals and values.

In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Bruns also teaches medical students.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, grilling, being outdoors and spending time with family.
