Virginia Welch Scholarship Now Available for 2025 February 6, 2025 Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is now accepting applications for the Virginia Welch Scholarship, which is awarded to students who are pursuing education in a health or medical related field. High school seniors, undergraduate students and graduate students who are currently enrolled in, or accepted to, an appropriate program are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is named in honor of Virginia Welch, a head nurse who became Good Samaritan’s administrator in 1951 and served until 1967. Since 1999, more than $307,000 in scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing a career in health care. Application deadline: Friday, April 11 To apply, complete and print the application packet in its entirety. Applications must be received or postmarked by April 11, 2025. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete application on time. Late applications will not be considered.
