Samaritan Welcomes Hilary Licardi, DNP August 9, 2023 Play Video Nurse Practitioner Hilary Licardi has joined Samaritan Evergreen Hospice. She supports patients who are near the end of their life and their families. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Pace University Lienhard School of Nursing and master’s and doctorate degrees at University of Florida. She began her medical career as a nurse and became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to learn innovative ways to help with disease management and relieve patient suffering. After moving to Oregon in 2019, Licardi learned about Samaritan Evergreen Hospice from patients at her previous job. “They always complimented the care they received,” she said. “It made me want to work for an organization that values its employees as well as patient care.”Licardi is married with two adult daughters. “We also have a Siamese cat named Bo who brightens our day with his antics and moody behavior,” she said.
