Samaritan Welcomes Christina Leach, FNP

Meet Christina Leach, FNP, Family Medicine

Family Nurse Practitioner Christina Leach has joined Samaritan Waldport Clinic. She provides primary care for teens and adults.

Leach earned a bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University and a master’s degree at United States University.

While working as a nurse at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, she completed her education to become a family nurse practitioner so she could provide equitable, accessible, integrative and patient-centered primary care in a rural community like Waldport.

“I chose to stay with Samaritan because of the support that I received,” she said. “It is an honor to continue to grow my practice in an equity-driven setting of competent and passionate providers.”

Leach offers minor office procedures as well as family planning services. She has a special interest in trauma, managing stress, therapeutic diets, nutritional therapy and geriatrics.

“I feel that the concepts of stress, socioeconomics, diet and behavior are often left out of the plan of care,” she said. “I love to explore folding these into the plan of care with patients who are interested.”

Leach has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the past 15 years and bought a homestead on Beaver Creek a few years ago. She values leading a sustainable life.

“After living all over the United States, the Central Oregon Coast is my favorite spot,” she said. “I am thankful to be able to live and work in such a beautiful location.”

In her free time, she enjoys surfing, swimming, kayaking, cooking and eating food that she grows, and spending time with family and friends.

Leach can be reached at Samaritan Waldport Clinic at 541-563-6027.
