Samaritan Welcomes Abigail “Abby” Demchak, LCSW January 25, 2023 Play Video Licensed Clinical Social Worker Abigail “Abby” Demchak has joined Samaritan Lebanon Health Center. She primarily sees children and adolescents and specializes in treating anxiety disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD. Demchak earned a bachelor’s degree at Western Oregon University and a master’s degree in social work at Pacific University. She was inspired to become a social worker to support and advocate for her patients. “I want to help people get through the big and small things in their lives that affect their day-to-day functioning,” Demchak said. “It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s mental health journey.” Demchak strives to be authentic. “Life is too short to live according to someone else’s idea of who we are or who we should be,” she said. She supports Samaritan’s PRIDE values: passion, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence. “These values are important to uphold in any setting and I admire how Samaritan leads by example,” she said. Demchak has lived in Oregon her entire life. “I love the Pacific Northwest, Oregon and the Willamette Valley,” she said. Away from the office, she does embroidery and painting. “I travel as much as I can and enjoy spending time with my husband and our pug puppy,” she said. Demchak is accepting new patients and can be reached at Samaritan Lebanon Health Center at 541-451-6282.
