Samaritan Receives National Awards for Marketing Initiatives

Samaritan Health Services’ Marketing and Communications Department garnered numerous national awards in 2023 for exceptional work in health care communication.    

“We are grateful to have a team of creative, passionate and talented professionals in our organization,” said Kimberly Schauer, vice president of marketing and communications at Samaritan. “The recognition we receive for our public health messages is a true honor, as these messages play a vital role in fostering a healthy and thriving community.”

In 2023, the department received the following awards and recognition:

Aster Awards

  • Gold: Baby Friendly (special video production).
  • Silver: Heart to Heart (external publication series).
  • Silver: Stronger Together Fundraising Campaign (calendar).
  • Bronze: Listen to Your Body (magazine advertising series).
  • Bronze: Peace, Love & Groovy Benefits (internal advertising campaign).

GD Digital Design Awards

  • Winner: Breast Cancer Knowledge is Power (infographics).
  • Winner: IHN-CCO Is Your Oregon Health Plan (video/motion graphics).
  • Winner: 75th Anniversary of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (display exhibit).

Every year the department submits campaigns and materials for award consideration, serving as a metric to gauge the work quality being developed by health care organizations nationwide. Notably, Samaritan’s community magazine, Heart to Heart, continues to receive several recognitions and garners positive feedback from community members on how much they value and appreciate locally crafted health content.
