Samaritan Foundations Honors Its 2022 PRIDE Partners May 11, 2022 Samaritan Foundations seeks to establish partnerships with businesses who share Samaritan’s PRIDE values — passion, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence. There are many opportunities for businesses to support Samaritan’s regional events or contribute to specific funds at the local hospitals that will help meet community health care needs. Samaritan Foundations welcomes two PRIDE Partners at the President’s Leadership Level — Central Willamette Credit Union and Starker Forests, Inc. Both are long-time supporters of Samaritan. In fact, Central Willamette Credit Union has been giving for the past 32 years with contributions spanning the tri-county region. This year, they will once again support patients and families across the region by directing their contribution to the Samaritan Foundations Patient Support Program and the construction of a new medical building in Sweet Home, which will offer family medicine and urgent care. The medical building is scheduled to break ground this summer. Additionally, Central Willamette Credit Union is leaving a lasting legacy through their gift to the Ken & Lorraine Carter Hospice House Endowment, which will offer sustainable support for Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House and programs for generations to come. Starker Forests, Inc. started giving to Samaritan in 1993 and has supported capital projects, scholarships, hospice, cancer care and much more over the years. Through their gift this year, they are helping to establish the Samaritan Treatment & Recovery Services program in Lincoln County and to increase access to breast care with state-of-the-art imaging technology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. “When I think about the many successful donor-funded initiatives throughout Samaritan over the years, these two incredible donors have consistently stepped up to advocate for and invest in quality local health care,” said Darrel Kau, executive director, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation. “These organizations and their leaders are not only great friends of our hospitals and Samaritan Foundations, but they are also beacons of hope and healing for patients, caregivers, and community members. We are extremely grateful for their generosity and leadership again this year.” 2022 PRIDE Partners President’s Leadership Highlights Central Willamette Credit Union Central Willamette Credit Union supports the Samaritan Foundations Patient Support Program across the region as a Samaritan Scramble sponsor, the Ken & Lorraine Carter Hospice House Endowment through the Albany General Hospital Foundation, and the Building a Healthier Sweet Home Campaign through the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation.
