Lebanon Foundation Funds Equipment & Programs May 18, 2021 Last month, the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees awarded $268,219 in allocations to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital departments and off-site facilities. The allocations will go toward renovations, patient care programs and equipment. The allocations match dollar-for-dollar the amount employees pledge in the Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign each October. Employees pledged $135,595 in the 2020 campaign and the foundation went beyond that amount with the 2021 allocations. Departments receiving allocations and purchases funded include: Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic: treatment table. Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House: patient repositioning systems. Acute Care Unit: patient repositioning systems. Cardio Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy: exercise equipment. Samaritan Treatment & Recovery Services: patient transport vehicle. Diabetes: funds for a major remodel. Rosie’s Café: several miscellaneous items. The Foundation also provided critical funding for programs such as the Power of Produce, the ArtsCare program, Reach Out and Read, patient support, cancer support groups and hospital clothing closets. “Our trustees awarded a record amount of funding during the 2021 allocations cycle,” said Brandy O’Bannon, foundation executive director. “We are grateful to our staff for advocating for patient and department needs, and to our employees and donors whose annual support makes funding these projects possible. These investments will improve our hospital and clinics, support staff and enhance the patient experience.” For more information about the allocations or the Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign, call the Samaritan Foundation at 541-451-6303.
