Stroll for Well-being & Garden Tours

The public is also invited to participate in the free Stroll for Well-being Program. The self-guided walking tours are designed to promote mental and emotional health through mindfulness practices in the serene garden environment. Participants can enjoy the beauty of nature while engaging in activities that enhance overall well-being. Registration and attendance at an orientation session are required.

The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation also hosts regular garden tours on the second Friday of each month from April to August, and on the third Friday in September. These tours provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the unique design and history that make the healing gardens special.

About the Healing Gardens

The healing gardens at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital are beautiful reflections of nature’s restorative power. Designed by world-renowned Japanese landscape designer Hoichi Kurisu, these gardens provide a sanctuary for rest, regeneration and reconnection. Kurisu’s philosophy emphasizes the importance of communion with nature for human well-being, making these gardens a unique and cherished part of the community.

Built entirely with donations from the community, the gardens are free and open to the public year-round, inviting everyone to experience their beauty and tranquility.

The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation continues to steward these gardens, ensuring their sustainability and fostering community engagement through volunteer opportunities.
