Gala Raises Funds for Treatment Facility March 14, 2019 The Albany General Hospital Foundation and the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation joined efforts to raise $138,000 at the Samaritan Treatment & Recovery Services Gala. The funds raised from the Gala will go toward the $4 million needed to construct a 16-bed residential treatment facility for patients receiving care for addiction services. With the addition of the gala funds, the current fundraising total is just shy of $3 million, allowing Samaritan Health Services to break ground in the summer of 2019. “We want to thank everyone who made the event a success and who contributed to the much-needed residential treatment facility,” said Jennifer Stanaway, director of the Albany General Hospital Foundation and interim director of the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation. Stanaway says the event, which included dinner, a diamond dig and patient testimonial, was a fun way to support a serious need, noting that two out of every three Oregonians are either addicted to substances or have an addicted person in their lives.
