Events Support Arts in Health Care & Cancer Patients

Recognizing the healing power of arts in health care, Samaritan continues to advance its ArtsCare Program and will host two events on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Bras for the Cause, 10 a.m. to Noon

Kicking off the day, workshop participants will decorate bras or shirts. Items will be displayed in local businesses throughout Corvallis and Albany during October in support of breast cancer awareness month. Space is limited and registration is required.

Art for the Cause, 6 to 8 p.m.

Following in the evening, participants will enjoy live music, refreshments, local works of art, with the option to purchase pieces directly or to bid on silent auction items. Advance registration is preferred but not required.

Both events will be held at the Samaritan Pastega Regional Cancer Center in Corvallis on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Proceeds will support the ArtsCare Program and future offerings specifically designed with cancer patients in mind.

At the core, the arts promote physical and emotional well-being of patients and enhance the overall health care experience. 

The Samaritan ArtsCare Program and activities are available to patients, community members and Samaritan employees.
