The primary care sports medicine physicians at Samaritan Athletic Medicine are trained in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic athletic injuries.
Your initial patient evaluation will include a detailed history, review of prior treatment records and a thorough physical examination to best gauge your symptoms and identify the cause of your pain and/or dysfunction.
X-rays and further recommendation for advanced imaging, including CT (computed tomography) or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans, may be recommended to further understand your injury and assist in medical or physical management. If warranted, our primary care sports medicine physicians can make recommendations for further management via physical therapy or orthopedic surgery as warranted.

Our sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgery team is trained in the surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Our surgeons want to understand where you’ve been with your current injury or condition, what you’ve done to manage it, what your limitations are and the affect your injury has on the quality of your everyday life.
Your initial patient evaluation with our surgical team will include a detailed history, review of prior treatment records and any advanced imaging and a thorough physical examination. During this evaluation, our orthopedic surgery team will utilize results from their assessment to assist in management of your condition and/or surgical planning.
Samaritan Athletic Medicine’s (SAM) Elite Performance and Fitness services are geared toward each individual’s needs and goals. We strive to provide the best programming and coaching across all age and ability levels.
