Breathe deeply and let your heart be filled with memories of your loved one.
Greetings during this special time of reflection. My name is Karen Daley and I have the privilege of serving as the director of Samaritan Evergreen Hospice. It is an honor to support the accomplished, skilled and committed staff who, in turn, hold the community in their compassionate hands.
On behalf of our entire staff and all the Samaritan Foundations, we welcome you to our 2020 Light up a Life ceremony.
We take this time to honor and remember the patients we have served in hospice. We also remember community loved ones, past and present, whose names have been submitted to us for recognition. In such an unprecedented year of chaos and challenge, I invite you to breathe deeply and allow your heart to be filled with the memories of your loved one as you navigate through this page. In hospice, we recognize these memories can be complex, beautiful and challenging – all the feelings that make us human.
We thank you for partnering with us to care for your loved one at the end of their life. Our Samaritan mission of “Building Healthier Communities Together” is never far from our practice as we care for patients at home, in facilities, campgrounds and shelters. We are humbled by the trust you have placed in us as we strive to bring compassion and respect to every patient visit.
Thank you again for your trust and support.

At the rising of the sun and at its going down
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter
At the opening of the buds in the rebirth of spring
At the blueness of the skies and the warmth of summer
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn
At the beginning of the year and when it ends
When we are weary and in the need of strength
When we are lost and sick at heart
When we have decisions that are difficult to make
When we have joy we crave to share
When we have achievements that are based on theirs
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us as we remember them.
Thank you for your support of Samaritan Evergreen Hospiceand your participation in this treasured event.
