From elite athletes to weekend warriors, the SAM Elite Sports Performance program at Samaritan Athletic Medicine works collaboratively with you to assess your needs and meet your performance goals.
Our sports performance program extends beyond strength training to include assessment, rehabilitation, and comprehensive injury prevention and performance training that is supported by the most current evidence.
SAM Elite’s Performance and Fitness services focus on the individual’s needs and goals to provide the best programming and coaching across any age and ability level.
Regardless of your training goals, SAM Elite uses a functional assessment to determine your ability level and evaluates this in contrast to your needs and goals to create an individualized training plan. Our clientele typically falls into one or more of the following training goals:
SAM Elite trains those with goals such as taking their athletic career to the next level or being able to complete the hiking vacation of your dreams (among countless others).
SAM Elite trains those lacking the mobility or strength to complete daily tasks or are wanting return to living a more active life.
SAM Elite trains those with a deficiency in medical coverage or a desire to continue past the level of function and performance reached with a medical provider to bring individuals to their final stage of returning to the sports and, or activities that they love.
Our main service is our semi-private training program which is simply personal training done in a group setting with a low coach to client ratio (1 coach for up to 5 clients at a time). This allows SAM Elite to provide the same individualized programming and attentive coaching needed to best reach your goals that you would find with personal training but in an energetic, positive, inclusive, and supportive community at a significantly decreased cost compared to private training.
SAM Elite provides private sessions with one or two clients for a more personalized approach to training. This level of service allows for more immediate individualization and training variety.
This is a special joint program between Physical Therapy and SAM Elite for individuals that are specifically in the middle to later stages of rehabilitation after an injury or surgery. Programming is provided by both Samaritan Athletic Medicine’s Physical Therapists and SAM Elite staff to take the return to sport and, or activity process to the next level. Unlike other services provided by SAM Elite, this may be under insurance depending on coverage.
Some clients are looking for the programming expertise of SAM Elite but, for any reason, may be unable to train here at our facility. SAM Elite can perform an in-person or virtual assessment to gather the information necessary to design a video-linked training program that can be performed anywhere in the world.
Our strength camp is designed to bring young women together to feel comfortable, confident and strong in a gym or weight room setting. Offered by The SAM each summer, girls learn to create individualized programs with the help of physical therapists and strength coaches. Training focus includes:
Each week, we feature a variety of specialists to discuss health-related topics specific to young women and fitness including: strength and agility, programming, workout recovery, sports psychology and nutrition.
Girl’s Strength Camp is geared toward high school aged girls who want to improve their sports performance, endurance, agility and fitness, while developing foundational skills to promote confidence in programming and training across the athletic spectrum. Strength Camp takes place annually in the summer right before school and sports practice starts.
