Job Shadow Program – Not for Academic Credit

Thank you for your interest in a shadowing opportunity with Samaritan Health Services! Job shadowing is an activity that allows students to explore various professions in health care.

We proudly provide job shadowing to pre-professional students and individuals exploring a career in health care.

Any applications received without 45days’ notice will be automatically declined.

Job shadows are limited to 40 hours per experience. Participants must be at least 18 years old and must be a high school graduate or have a GED.

Job Shadow Applications Require:

  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination
  • Completed training and policy review
  • TB screening
  • Measles (Rubeola), mumps and rubella immunity
  • Hepatitis B immunity
  • Varicella (chickenpox) immunity
  • Influenza vaccine or declination
  • Tdap vaccine

To maintain safety for all patients, staff and students, we require all immunizations on this checklist.

Exception: Both COVID-19 and influenza vaccines can be declined.

Student Services needs the Health Testing Checklist completed. Please do not send us any vaccination records.

Download and fill out the Health Testing Checklist. Email the completed checklist to Student Services. If you have had TB, please also complete and email the TB Risk Factor Screening form.

Email the completed health checklist to [email protected].

After you have read the polices and completed the training, please complete the online student verification form.

Once you have completed steps 1 through 4, you may submit your job shadow application by using the Submit Your Request button below. We will work to match you with a job shadowing opportunity at Samaritan.
