Dr. Mitchell provides obstetric and gynecological care. She earned a bachelor’s degree at The Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree at Oxford University, Hertford College and a medical degree at Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed residency training at University of Rochester Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Mitchell uses a trauma-informed approach to care. She specializes in robot-assisted laparoscopic gynecologic procedures, including total and partial hysterectomy, myomectomy, oophorectomy and ovarian cystectomy. “My goal is to improve patient outcomes and safety,” she said. She is committed to providing compassionate and empowering care. “I want to be the kind of doctor who hears and sees the real needs and goals of my patients,” she said. “I want to cultivate true healing and health.” She chose to join Samaritan because she felt that the providers share her commitment to providing compassionate care. In her free time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys exploring the outdoors, dancing, practicing and teaching yoga, dabbling in the visual arts and spending time with family.
