Samaritan Welcomes Sea-oh McConville, DO

Sea-oh McConville, DO, has joined Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic in Corvallis. She provides primary care for people of all ages, including gender-affirming care and medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders.

Dr. McConville earned a bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University and a medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest. She completed residency training at St. John Medical Center.

She has special interest in osteopathic manipulation, diabetes, skin biopsies, joint injections, family planning and other in-office procedures. She is also engaged in clinical research studies.

When Dr. McConville was a teen, her father died of a brain tumor. The clinicians who cared for him and her family inspired her career in medicine.

“Navigating the world during that time was incredibly difficult and frightening,” she recalled. “I had great examples of creative care and I want to help others feel heard and seek health in an accepting, open environment.”

Dr. McConville’s approach to care is to partner with patients to help them achieve their health goals. Activism and volunteering are important to her, and she values compassion, creativity and community.

She is married to Tyler Andrea, DO, who recently joined Samaritan Kidney Specialists – Corvallis. She met her husband at medical school in Lebanon and they wanted to return to the area.

“Samaritan feels like a good fit as an organization with a focus on community and a dedication to equity and access for patients,” she said. “Many of our friends and family are here so, we are truly coming home!”

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with her rescue dog and doing textile art, woodworking and pottery.

Dr. McConville can be reached at Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic at 541-768-5142.
