She works with the patient’s regular clinician and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care. A job shadow with the medical director of a county health department during a tuberculosis outbreak inspired her to become a physician. Volunteering at a free clinic during medical school reinforced this decision. Dr. Whyte prefers working in a small-town hospital and she feels at home in the Pacific Northwest. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and taking road trips with her partner.
