Alexandra Bernal, PhD

Dr. Bernal specializes in adult psychology. She has a special interest in trauma-related concerns including childhood issues and sexual violence. She also focuses on body image and disordered eating, identity exploration and behavioral health for transgender people.

Dr. Bernal feels privileged to support, comfort and be present with patients as they navigate challenges. She uses a collaborative approach to address patterns contributing to distress. Her goal is to empower people through empathetic encouragement and reflection while offering constructive feedback with compassion.

After completing an internship at Oregon State University, she was delighted to return to Oregon with her husband and their pets.

Away from the office, Dr. Bernal enjoys hiking, sewing and other fiber arts, attending local markets, visiting the coast and spending time with family.
