Zoryana Thompson, PA-C, Welcomed Back to Mid-Valley June 7, 2019 Samaritan Medical Clinics – North Albany is pleased to welcome Zoryana Thompson, PA-C, back to the Mid-Willamette Valley. Thompson cared for obstetric and gynecological patients at Samaritan’s Mid-Valley OB/GYN in Lebanon from 2014 to early 2018. Thompson also worked in the Emergency and Surgery departments at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, seeing patients in the Emergency Department and assisting with surgeries. “Since I’ve been back, I have been happy to see many of my former patients again,” said Thompson. Thompson earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Oregon Health & Science University. She earned her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University. As a physician assistant, Thompson cares for women from adolescence through adulthood, pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and beyond. She performs obstetrical and gynecological procedures including women’s annual exams, all forms of contraception, evaluation of abnormal pap smears with colposcopy, endometrial biopsy and evaluation of post-menopausal bleeding and more. She is also happy to discuss integrative medicine treatment options when patients are interested. “I enjoy my patient relationships,” said Zoryana. “I think it is essential to listen to your patients’ concerns and present all the information and options in a way that they feel they are taking a part in making decisions for themselves. I believe that half of medicine is listening to your patients. I love providing women’s health and while I have experienced other areas of medicine, this is my place.” Away from the clinic, Thompson enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and dogs, hiking, camping and doing anything that involves nature and wildlife. She also enjoys quiet days of reading and gardening. Thompson is currently accepting new patients.
