Video Recipe: Strawberry Protein Power Shake

Craving a milkshake? Try this quick and easy healthy strawberry protein shake with chia seeds. With only four ingredients, it’s easy to keep these items on hand for an indulgent, nutritious shake.

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk.
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries.
  • 1 scoop your favorite vanilla protein powder.
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds, for sprinkling or stirring in.


  1. Prep – Add all ingredients except for chia seeds to blender.
  2. Blend – Blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to add a few teaspoons more of milk if the shake is too thick and won’t blend.
  3. Serve – Once blended and smooth, pour into a chilled glass or bowl and sprinkle with chia seeds.
  4. Enjoy!

You can experiment with a variety of your favorite fruits, but frozen fruit is the key to giving this refreshing treat a cold “milkshake-y” feel. The chia seeds in this recipe provide a nice sense of texture or try substituting them with flax seeds for a nutty flavor.
