Shelly Boshart Davis to Join Albany Hospital Board July 22, 2021 State Rep. Shelly Boshart Davis was recently appointed to the Samaritan Albany General Hospital Board of Directors. “Shelly joins a dedicated group of volunteer board members, each of whom is committed to the health and well-being of the community,” said Dan Keteri, hospital CEO. “Shelly’s talent, expertise and energy will be a great asset to the board during a very challenging time in health care. Her leadership at the Linn County Expo wildfire shelter last year is a great example of how her skills and interests complement Samaritan’s mission of building healthier communities together.” Boshart Davis will attend her first board meeting in August. “I am honored to join our local hospital’s board of directors,” said Boshart Davis. “As a state representative and business owner in the mid-Willamette Valley, I believe I offer a diverse perspective, experience and voice to health care decisions that affect every Oregonian. It is important for me to be involved with Samaritan’s mission and promise to our community.” Boshart Davis is a long-time local resident who grew up on a family farm. She attended Oregon State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She advocates for her community and industry as an active volunteer. She serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the Albany Chamber of Commerce, and previously sat on the local United Way board. In 2016, she was appointed to the Linn County Budget Committee and is currently state representative for House District 15. She is also involved with the Oregon Farm Bureau, Oregon Women for Agriculture, Oregon Trucking Association and Oregon Seed Council. Nationally, she is a former president of the U.S. Forage Export Council and she sits on the advisory committee for the Agriculture Transportation Coalition. Boshart Davis is passionate about agricultural education, sitting on the board for the nonprofit association, Oregon Aglink, and volunteering with three local schools through the Adopt-A-Farmer program.
