Samaritan Welcomes William Stoutt, DO

William Stoutt, DO, has joined the Cardiology Department at Samaritan Heart Center. Dr. Stoutt specializes in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

He earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Texas at Austin and a medical degree at University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed residency training at Kent Hospital and fellowships in cardiology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and in interventional cardiology at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.

Dr. Stoutt performs non-surgical procedures to diagnose and treat heart conditions.

He has always been interested in biological sciences and chose to pursue a career in medicine after volunteering at a hospital when he was in college.

“I’ve always wanted to do something meaningful with my life,” he said.

Dr. Stoutt finds interventional cardiology fascinating.

“It’s allowing us to do more for patients through less invasive means,” Dr. Stoutt said.

He decided to return to Corvallis because he enjoyed his time here during his fellowship.

“I like the area and working with a group of cardiologists and health care staff that provide excellent care to their patients,” Dr. Stoutt said.

Away from the office, he enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Stoutt can be reached by calling Samaritan Heart Center at 541-768-5205.
