Samaritan Welcomes Taylor Johnson, DO October 15, 2021 Play Video Taylor Johnson, DO, has joined Samaritan Family Medicine – Southwest. He provides primary care for people of all ages. He earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Oregon and a medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Dr. Johnson has special interest in sports medicine and nutrition. He offers osteopathic manipulative therapy, which is used to diagnose, treat and prevent illness and injuries by moving the muscles and joints. Dr. Johnson takes a holistic approach in caring for his patients. “I enjoy being able to teach my patients so they can feel well and enjoy life,” he said. He wants to connect with people, listen to them and make them feel like they matter. “The most rewarding part of medicine is helping patients understand their health and to be there for them when something unexpected happens,” he said. Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Oregon. He chose to work for Samaritan after completing his residency here. “I appreciate that Samaritan is genuinely trying to improve the health of people living in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties,” he said. In his free time, he enjoys date nights with his wife, ultimate Frisbee and playing board games.
