He specializes in family medicine and provides primary care for people of all ages. He earned a master’s in physician assistant studies from Franklin Pierce University – PA Program. He started his career as an Arabian horse surgeon. He was motivated to become a physician assistant by the sacrifices his father made for his family. “My father was a great inspiration for me,” he said. “I learned from him to offer the best that I can for my patients.” Bassaly offers minor office procedures including joint injections, family planning services, cyst and abscess procedures and ingrown toenail treatment. He has special interest in treating diabetes, thyroid disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. “I can work with patients from head to toe being a detailed provider,” he said. “I am very open to learning as there is something new to learn every day.” His approach to care begins with listening. “I give my ears to my patients,” Bassaly said. He shares Samaritan’s values of PRIDE — passion, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence. Bassaly is married and has a son. He plays the accordion and organ. Away from the office, he enjoys walking, traveling, eating and spending time with family and friends. Bassaly can be reached at Samaritan Lebanon Health Center at 541-451-6282.
