Samaritan Welcomes Hiroko Poceski, ANP July 24, 2023 Play Video Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner Hiroko Poceski has joined Samaritan Medical Group Geriatric Medicine. She is part of a dedicated team of providers that sees patients living in care facilities, including veterans, people recovering from serious illness or injury, those with memory conditions and people without family to look after them. Poceski earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Central Florida and a master’s degree from University of South Alabama. She began her medical career as a nurse, then shedecided to continue her education to specialize in geriatrics. Her approach to care is to be polite and to treat everyone with respect. “I enjoy taking care of elderly patients,” Poceski said. In her free time, she enjoys reading, knitting, drinking coffee and taking her dog out. “The best time of day is when I see my dog waiting for me at the front door after work,” she said.
