Samaritan Welcomes Hazel Tetzlaff, PA-C June 15, 2023 Hazel Tetzlaff, PA-C, has joined Samaritan Albany Surgical Associates. She assists with general surgery. She earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Pittsburgh and a master’s in physician assistant studies at Chatham University. During college, Tetzlaff worked as a paramedic. She wanted to become a physician assistant because she enjoys building relationships with patients. “It is important to me that patients feel safe and informed so that we can make medical decisions that best align with their health care goals,” she said. Tetzlaff chose Samaritan because she values working within a collaborative team. After moving to Albany with her husband, she wanted to give back to the community where she lives. In her free time, she enjoys remodeling her 1927 house and spending time with her husband and her dogs. “We take camping trips throughout the Pacific Northwest in our RV, checking out new restaurants and wineries,” she said. “We also enjoy family potlucks.” She can be reached at Samaritan Albany Surgical Associates at 541-812-4580.
