Samaritan Pharmacies Expand Presence

As retail pharmacies have closed across Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties, Samaritan has worked to help fill the gaps, with two new locations opened in 2023, and one more slated for late 2024.

The first new location opened on the campus of Oregon State University in the Samaritan Athletic Medicine building. This pharmacy has filled a much-needed service on campus and is open to OSU students, faculty and staff, as well as to the public.

Next to open was the pharmacy located within the new Sweet Home Medical Center.

Another Samaritan Pharmacy will open on the campus of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital, with completion targeted for late 2024.

Patients find Samaritan pharmacies offer outstanding service and many convenient options.

Samaritan’s Elm Street Pharmacy in Albany and Samaritan Pharmacy — Lebanon also have drive‑up windows. Samaritan Pharmacy Corvallis offers curbside delivery and all of Samaritan’s pharmacies offer free prescription mailing and courier services.

In addition to filling prescriptions, Samaritan Pharmacy services include vaccinations, medication therapy management, sharps disposal and drug take-back bins. Pharmacists can prescribe birth control, naloxone, Paxlovid and emergency insulin refills. The pharmacies also offer translation services for prescription labels, medication guides and medication counseling.

Prescription refills are also convenient through the Samaritan MyChart patient portal, which allows for refill requests from a personal computer or mobile app.

If there is trouble affording medications, Samaritan’s medication assistance program may be able to help.
