Samaritan OB/GYN Recognized for Low C-section Rates August 20, 2019 Samaritan Obstetrics & Gynecology – Corvallis has been recognized by the American College of Nurse-Midwives for facilitating low cesarean section rates for new moms. Samaritan Obstetrics & Gynecology was just one of three practices nationwide named a Best Practice in the category of more than 500 births per year, for their low C-section rate of 11% for first-time moms with low-risk births. For the mothers, risks include higher rates of hemorrhage, transfusions, infections and blood clots.
