Samaritan Earns Dual Honors as a Best-in-State Workplace

Forbes & Newsweek Award High Rankings

When it comes to being a great place to work, Samaritan Health Services has made the list — several, in fact!

The Forbes list of America’s Best-in-State Employers 2025 ranks Samaritan at 13 out of 35 under all industry categories. This ranking also places Samaritan above all other health care and social services organizations on the list.

“Being named among the best employers isn’t just an honor, it’s a testament to our shared purpose, our extraordinary people and the Samaritan values,” said Scott Russell, vice president of Human Resources. “We are very thankful for our employees who are the heart of Samaritan, and who make this a place where people love to work.”

You can see the full list here and criteria for the Forbes award, which included a survey of more than 160,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people. More than two million employer evaluations were considered.

The second recognition comes from Newsweek. It awarded Samaritan 4.5 out of 5 stars and ranked the organization eighth out of 19 in its America’s Greatest Workplaces by State honors.

“Samaritan stands out because of the incredible people who make up our organization,” Russell said. “This award celebrates every team member who makes Samaritan a great place to work, and it recognizes the value of our employees who make Samaritan an even greater place to receive care.”
