New Sweet Home Medical Center Opens

Over 100 excited community members gathered for the Sweet Home Medical Center ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday, Oct. 27, to mark an extraordinary milestone.

The celebration began with heartfelt remarks from Marty Cahill, CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, Milt Moran, Lebanon Community Hospital Board member and chairman of the Capital Campaign committee, Juliette Asuncion, DO, medical director of SLCH Medical Clinic – Sweet Home, and Wes Sedlacek, chaplain.

“Samaritan’s mission is ‘building healthier communities together,’ and we want to ensure that quality health care is available and convenient, close to where people live,” said Doug Boysen, president and CEO of Samaritan Health Services. “The opening of this building and the services offered reinforce our commitment to increasing access to health care across the region that we serve.”

The 17,500-square-foot building focuses on improving access to health care with clinics offering family medicine, walk-in care and medication management as well as a retail pharmacy with a drive-thru window and a helipad. The medical center officially opened its doors to the public on Monday, Oct. 30.

“Our team is absolutely thrilled,” said Dr. Asuncion. “Having the opportunity to provide the community with expanded walk-in hours and a pharmacy is a real game-changer. We had a successful first week and can’t wait for the many wonderful years ahead.”

The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation would like to thank the many donors and community partners who contributed an incredible $3 million to support the construction of this new clinic.
