Mid-Willamette Valley Veterans Network to Host Linn-Benton Veterans Stand Down in Albany September 4, 2026 Mid-Willamette Valley Veterans Network will host the Linn-Benton Veterans Stand Down from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Road E in Albany. The event is designed to connect veterans and their families with a wide range of resources and support services available throughout the region. Representatives from local, state and federal organizations are expected to provide information and assistance related to VA benefits, disability and Social Security benefits, employment services, housing and utility assistance, alcohol and drug treatment programs, medical resources, mobile medical and dental services, veteran outreach programs and other community-based support. The Stand Down serves as a one-stop opportunity for veterans to learn about services that can help address immediate needs while also building connections to long-term support systems. “Many veterans are unaware of the full range of benefits and programs available to them,” said Kyle Hatch, Samaritan Health Services’ veterans representative. “This event brings numerous providers together in one location, making it easier for veterans and their families to access resources and get their questions answered.” The event is made possible through the support of several community partners. Samaritan Health Services is a sponsor of the event, while Mid-Willamette Family YMCA Veterans Housing will serve as the lunch sponsor. Additional sponsorships are being provided by the Linn County Veterans Service Office and the Linn County Fair & Expo Center. Organizers encourage veterans, as well as family members and caregivers, to attend and explore the services available to support their health, housing stability, employment and overall well-being. “Whether a veteran is seeking assistance for the first time or looking for additional support, the Stand Down is an opportunity to learn about benefits and services that can make a real difference,” Hatch said. “We encourage every veteran to come see what’s available and talk with the organizations that are here to help.”
