Gastroenterology Clinic Joins Samaritan

A Corvallis medical practice, Mid-Valley Gastroenterology, joined Samaritan Health Services on Tuesday, April 1, under the new name Samaritan Gastroenterology – Corvallis. The clinic’s location and contact information remain unchanged, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Samaritan has maintained a longstanding relationship with the practice and its providers, who have served many of the gastroenterology needs of the community. This is a medical specialty that focuses on diseases and disorders of the digestive system.

“Clinical services, including those offered at the Samaritan Endoscopy Center, are vital to our community and will continue,” said Robert Turngren, MD, senior vice president and chief physician executive at Samaritan Health Services. “While the clinic focuses on a full spectrum of services, their role in supporting early detection of colon cancer is foundational to a healthy community and essential to our mission of building healthier communities.”

With this transition, patients will benefit from enhanced digital services, including access to appointment information, virtual care visits and medical records through the Samaritan MyChart application.

Clinicians joining Samaritan during this transition include Chad Morse, MD; Gregory Schwartz, MD; Matthew Walton, MD; Lisa Araneta, PA-C; Dean Crowell, PA-C; Dena Hulting, PA-C; and Mary Reed, PA-C.
