Explore Advance Directives at Free Workshop January 3, 2025 Join this free, in-person workshop where you will explore your health care decisions and have the opportunity to complete your own advance directive. Topics include: Advance directives conversation starters. Appointing a health care representative. Documenting your desires in the matter of critical life support. Brief introduction to physician orders for life-sustaining treatment (POLST). The workshops are held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Samaritan Center for Health Education in Newport, 740 SW Ninth St., west of Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.
