Don’t Stumble, Tumble or Trip! Learn Strategies to Prevent Falls

As we age, it’s important to stay physically and mentally strong so we avoid taking hazardous stumbles and trips.

Older adults, caregivers and all others with an interest are invited to a free wellness seminar on fall prevention on Monday, Dec. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Samaritan Center for Health Education.

Helen Beaman, a licensed clinical social worker, will talk about the dangers and risk factors of falling and provide strategies to reduce your risk. She noted that Lincoln County has the highest percentage of adults age 65 and over, compared to nearby Benton and Linn counties.

The event is free and open to all. To reserve your seat, contact Amy Conner at [email protected] or call at 541-574-4952.
