Samaritan Health Services now offers a quick and easy way to get care recommendations with Symptom Checker, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the Samaritan website and MyChart. By answering a few simple questions, Symptom Checker helps guide you to the right level of care — whether that’s self-care at home, a virtual visit or in-person care. The tool uses clinical algorithms to assess more than 300 common symptoms. Samaritan providers have reviewed all care pathways for accuracy. “Our goal is to help patients get the care they need faster,” said Julie Osgood, DrPH, chief operating officer for Samaritan Medical Group. “This tool helps people evaluate minor illnesses or injuries and decide what to do next.” Try Symptom Checker On the Samaritan website: Click the Symptom Checker quick link on the home page or find it under the Health Services menu. You can also access it directly at samhealth.org/Symptoms. In MyChart: Access it from the main menu on desktop or mobile. You will also see the option when messaging your provider. What to expect: After accepting the terms and conditions and answering a few questions about your symptoms, you will receive care recommendations. If needed, you can schedule an appointment through MyChart, either as a guest or when logged in.
