Cancer Resources Expanded in Lincoln & Linn Counties

The Samaritan Cancer Resource Center is expanding its presence to include Lebanon, Lincoln City and Newport.

Starting in October, patients will be able to connect with the Samaritan Cancer Resource Center team in person at the new locations.

Lebanon: Second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital (by the hematology and oncology clinic, back entrance of the hospital).

Lincoln City: First Friday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital, Education Conference Room (left of the food court).

Newport: Third Monday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Center for Health Education (across from Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital).

The Samaritan Cancer Resource Center continues to offer services in Albany and Corvallis, as well as various online support options.

“Many patients have expressed how valuable it is to be able to connect in person with our knowledgeable resource team,” said Anne Webb, regional director of the Samaritan Cancer Program. “Bringing these same great services to all the communities Samaritan serves made complete sense.”

Patients and loved ones have access to many great resources at all Samaritan Cancer Resource Center locations. This includes wigs and head coverings (by appointment (24-hour advance notice requested), support groups, financial assistance, nutrition services, social work, transportation and more.

There is no cost to stop by and appointments are not needed, with the exception of wigs and head coverings appointments.
