Albany Volunteer Services Health Care Scholarships Are Now Available March 18, 2025 Samaritan Albany General Hospital Volunteer Services is proud to announce the availability of scholarships for students pursuing higher education in a medical health care field. These scholarships aim to support students with tuition, books and required program supplies, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must maintain a permanent residence in the area served by Samaritan Albany General Hospital, specifically in one of the following cities: Albany, Tangent, Halsey, Shedd, Brownsville, Scio or Crabtree. The funding for these scholarships comes from the sales at the Samaritan Albany General Hospital gift shop and proceeds from various special events organized by Volunteer Services. Interested students can find the application online at samhealth.org/Scholarships. All applications must be postmarked and mailed or received by hand-delivery no later than Tuesday, April 1. Recipients may only receive the scholarship up to four times.
