Plan for Your Pregnancy & Birth With Confidence

Pregnancy comes with a lot of decisions — and our guide is here to help you feel prepared every step of the way.

The Pregnancy & Childbirth Guide is a 115‑page resource created by Samaritan maternity care coordinators to support you from early pregnancy through birth and beyond. Inside, you’ll find clear, reassuring information about prenatal visits, trimester‑by‑trimester changes, labor and birth options, pain management, cesarean delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Practical tools, planning worksheets, and questions to ask your care team make it easy to stay organized, feel informed, and focus on what matters most—welcoming your baby.

Maternity Connections

Samaritan Health Services has developed Maternity Connections to help prepare you for your pregnancy. Maternity Connections is a maternity care program offered in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties to help create a pleasant and satisfying hospital stay.

Your Maternity Care Coordinator is experienced in maternal child nursing and will help you design a plan for the best possible care before, during and after the birthing process. All services are free.

Breastfeeding Support & Services

Mother’s milk is the best possible food during your baby’s first year, and nursing can be a rewarding experience for both you and your baby. Breastfeeding doesn’t always “come naturally” for all mothers and babies. Samaritan offers lactation support staffed by specially trained and certified lactation consultants.

Lactation Clinic

Nursing moms can consult with a lactation nurse, get answers to breastfeeding questions, discuss different techniques and positioning, and help with problem solving. Call for an appointment.
