Woman in Medicine Group
SHS Internal Medicine residents host regular WIM meetings that are open to all healthcare providers and local medical students, fostering a supportive community for female physicians and promoting camaraderie. These meetings often feature group lectures and discussions focused on the unique challenges faced by women in medicine, while providing valuable tools and strategies to help them thrive in their careers.
Doctor’s Dilemma Group
SHS IM residency has an active Doctor’s Dilemma group, which is an American College of Physicians (ACP) sponsored event that takes place on the State level. Internal medicine residency programs in the state train and compete in jeopardy- styled questions for the opportunity to compete in the national competition.
Trivia group that competes in weekly local trivia in Corvallis.
