The Administrative Fellowship Program at Samaritan Health Services offers a unique opportunity for Masters-prepared Healthcare Administration graduates (MHA, MBA, MPH or similar) to build a rewarding career in health care management. Our fellows gain hands-on experience through monthly rotations and meaningful projects.
During our year-long fellowship, participants explore various facets of working within an integrated health care system that includes five hospitals—three of which are critical access—primary and specialty care clinics as well as a health plan. Fellows gain valuable insight and innovative strategies for managing the comprehensive needs of individual and population-based health care.
The program’s structured rotations encompass acute and critical care operations, the function of medical groups and health plan management. Fellows also engage with key departments such as strategy and planning, information systems and human resources. Mini projects aligned with each rotation contribute to longer term initiatives to broaden understanding and launch a successful career in health care management.
