Samaritan recently launched Epic Provider Finder, a new provider search tool on samhealth.org that makes it easier to find doctors, advanced practice providers and healthcare services. The new tool includes several features designed to help people make informed decisions about their care. You can: Search by medical condition to help identify providers who treat specific health concerns. Search by provider specialty, location and name. View provider ratings and patient comments that are updated regularly. “Our goal is to make it easier for people to find the care that’s right for them,” said Jan Hull, Information Systems director of clinical design. “This new tool gives people more information and better search options to help them connect with a provider who meets their needs.” Epic Provider Finder also lays the foundation for expanded online scheduling capabilities in the future. Today, online scheduling is available for select services, and some established patients may schedule appointments through MyChart when eligible.
