Interviews will be granted to applicants who successfully complete our initial screening process.
We use a holistic approach in reviewing applications and applicants are selected solely based on academic performance and personal qualifications, regardless of sex, ethnicity, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identification, veteran status or disability that does not directly impede the training process. Samaritan Health Services has an Equity and Inclusion policy, and our GME Office Diversity Policy for Recruitment of Resident, Fellows, Faculty, and Staff expressly forbids discrimination of any form and encourages recruitment and retention of minorities underrepresented in medicine and medical leadership.
Preference for application review will be given to applicants who signal our program, but not signaling does not exclude you from an interview invite.
Due to limited interview slots on each day, we recommend scheduling your interview as soon as possible after receiving your invitation. If your preferred date is unavailable, you may join a waiting list for that day.
Interviews will be conducted virtually from October to January.
Interviews consist of a group orientation with our program director, individual interviews with our faculty and an opportunity to speak with our residents between interviews.
We offer optional site visits for medical students to explore the program and experience Corvallis firsthand on a case-by-case basis. To ensure fairness for all applicants, in-person visits do not include interviews and will not influence your position on the rank list. If you’re interested, please contact our program coordinators.
