Lebanon Foundation Funds Equipment & Programs June 26, 2023 Every year departments, clinics and off-site facilities of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital are invited to apply for funds from the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation. Funds can be used to support projects or equipment that will benefit hospital departments, east Linn County clinics and off-site facilities. Funding is made available by generous individuals and businesses who contribute to the foundation. As part of its matching gifts policy, the foundation matches all employee donations made through the Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign. In 2022, employees generously donated $129,793 to the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation. In April this year, the Foundation Trustees approved $184,493 in funding requests. “We are grateful to our managers for advocating for equipment and programs that will improve patient care and enhance our hospital and clinics,” said Brandy O’Bannon, executive director at the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation. “We are also very appreciative of our employee and community donors who make generous annual donations which make these purchases possible.” Some equipment needs that were funded included an ultrasound transducer for the Imaging Department, a fetal monitor for the Girod Birth Center and a bladder scanner for the Evergreen Hospice House. The foundation also provided funds to enhance security measures by adding badge access scanners to the buildings at the Park Street and Resident’s clinics, as well as the hospital Imaging Department. Program funding was allocated for patient support, the ArtsCare Program, Reach Out & Read, chaplain wellbeing carts, plus hospital and clinical clothing closets for patients. “It’s through this important work that we are building healthier communities together,” said O’Bannon.
