Samaritan Welcomes Megan “Meg” Santoni, PA-C November 13, 2021 Play Video Megan “Meg” Santoni, PA-C, has joined Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center. She specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University and a master’s in physician assistant studies from Pacific University Health Professionals Campus. When she was an 8-year-old, she injured her knee. Instead of being afraid of the treatment she received, she was fascinated by what the medical professionals did to help her heal. “The more I understood and learned about medicine, the more I knew I wanted that to be my career,” Santoni said. Santoni first worked as an orthopedic technician. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to dedicate her career to the field by becoming a physician assistant. Her approach to care is making decisions together with her patients. “I have a strong connection to people and a desire to make a difference in their health care journey,” she said. She was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the teamwork of clinicians at Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center. “It’s a really valuable organization to the community,” Santoni said. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, snowboarding, reading and watching the Chicago Blackhawks. “I do a lot of work with my hands, painting and sculpting, things of that nature,” she said. “I also have a lot of fun doing home improvement projects.” She is accepting new patients and can be reached at Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center at 541-768-7700.
