Samaritan Welcomes Emma Murugaverl, DO November 15, 2022 Play Video Emma Murugaverl, DO, has joined Samaritan Family Medicine – Geary Street in Albany. She provides primary care for people of all ages. Dr. Murugaverl earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Denver and a medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residency training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. She chose a career in medicine because she wanted to give back to the community. Family medicine appealed to her because she wanted to provide a broad spectrum of care for her patients instead of specializing. Dr. Murugaverl has special interest in preventive care and patient education. She sees the practice of medicine as an art. “Allowing myself to be vulnerable and getting to know my patients allows me to provide insightful and personalized care to every person,” she said.
