SUMMARY:Mind\, Body\, Sexual Health & Cancer Survivor Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Cancer treatments can bring emotional\, physical and mental health challenges\, including sexual health concerns like pain during intimacy. These issues are common among cancer survivors and often go underserved. \nIn this one-day retreat\, participants will have the opportunity to connect with Jessica Bell\, PA-C\, a sexual medicine specialist at Samaritan Health Services. The retreat will focus on education\, community and empowerment. Susan Giglio\, DPT\, a pelvic floor physical therapist at Samaritan\, will lead gentle yoga sessions designed to help participants practice these movements on their own. To close the day\, Lisa-Paula da Silva\, LCSW\, an oncology social worker at Samaritan\, will explore the mind-body connection and offer insights on how to reconnect with your body. \nThe retreat will cover topics such as anatomy\, sexual health and mindfulness-based practices\, all within a supportive and welcoming space.
