DESCRIPTION:One celebration. Two locations to choose from. \nThe first Sunday of June is National Cancer Survivors Day — a day that is celebrated around the globe. This day honors people living with a history of cancer\, celebrates their milestones and recognizes those who have supported them along the way. \nOn this day\, the Samaritan Cancer Program will host a free in-person event for cancer survivors and loved ones\, in Corvallis and in Newport. The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the program format will be similar at each location. \nProgram Overview\n1 p.m. – Doors open. Enjoy good food\, company and more!\n1:45 p.m. – Talks start from the cancer care team\, survivors and others.\n2:15 p.m. – Explore community cancer resources.\n3 p.m. – Program concludes. \nLocation Details\nCorvallis\nPastega Regional Cancer Center (new event location)\n441 NW Elks Drive\nCorvallis\, OR 97330 \nNewport\nCenter for Health Education\n740 SW 9th St.\nNewport\, OR 97365\n(located across from Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital) \nAdvance registration is encouraged and can be completed online or by phone.
